 Jenna embraced independence and adaptability through her experiences on the JET Programme. She immersed herself in the local community by participating in a dance studio, fostering connections and cultural exchange. Her culinary delight was Monjyayaki, a unique Tokyo-style okonomiyaki variant known for its mushy texture and caramelized edges, best enjoyed straight from the grill—a rare find outside of Japan.

Ervin mastered balancing independence with community engagement during the JET Programme. He enjoyed dancing and embracing outdoor activities. Ervin highly recommends Chirashizushi with yakisaba, a unique and delicious combination of grilled mackerel and rice that he found unmatched outside of Japan, particularly in Shimane.
