New Year, New You – 2019 Career Round Table

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the 2019 rendition of our annual Career Round Table event the best one ever. Whether you were able to attend or not, here’s a recap of the event.

This year’s CRT kicked-off with the energetic and inspiring keynote by Sadaf Taqvi on “Redefining Success: the non-linear approach to achieving your goals”. Sadaf revealed how saying yes to unique experiences, researching new opportunities, acquiring new skill-sets, and learning to recognize the hallmarks in your own journey, you might just find redefining your goals as you progress through your career will lead you to true success.

This ‘non-linear’ concept to your ever-evolving career set the pace for the evening. The message echoed throughout the talks by former JETs and industry specialists’ experiences.

Keep this analogy for your career in mind… if you wish to summit a mountain, you cannot take one long direct path up. Keep your mind on the peak, but prepare for the zigzag journey to the top.

Great to see all those who came out! If you missed out this year, you still always have a chance to networking with everyone at many great events year-round. For upcoming events, keep an eye on our website, as well as our Facebook page here!
